Closed-Captioning & Subtitling
You can order Closed-Captioning and Subtitling services
4 different ways:
Close-Caption, Transcode & Deliver
Of all the different ways to increase the return on your marketing dollars, closed-captioning (or subtitling) might very well give you the biggest bang for your buck! SpotCaption will close-caption your spot, insert/embed the captions into a transcoded ‘for broadcast’ version of the spot and deliver directly to your TV station/media distributor of choice. On the Order Page, choose “Close-Caption, Transcode & Deliver” from the Service Type drop-down menu, answer the questions that follow and leave the rest to us.
Subtitle, Transcode & Deliver
When your spot (i.e. commercial) is strictly for the web, subtitles are the way to go! Whether you need captions that are always on or user-controllable, we’re here to help. Take a look at our gallery and check out the different ways we can display your subtitles. Then, when you’re ready, click on the Services tab and head over to our Order Page. Choose “Subtitle, Transcode & Deliver” from the Service Type drop-down menu, answer the questions that follow, and we’ll take it from there. We’ve got you covered!
Close-Caption Only
If you have all the right tools to insert/embed captions into your commercials, you can order closed-captioning as a stand-alone service. In this case, all you need to do is upload a proxy file to us and we, in turn, will close-caption your spot and send you a caption file upon completion (for example, .scc, .xml, .dxfp or .txt). On the Order Page, choose “Close-Caption & Deliver” from the Service Type drop-down menu, let us know what caption file format you’d like to receive and in as little as 24 hours, you’ll have what you need to encode your own closed-captioned video.
Subtitle Only
If your spot(s) aren’t for broadcast (not on television, anyway), you’ll probably want to go with subtitles rather than closed-captions. If you’re not sure what the differences are, visit our Gallery and take a look at some sample videos. Subtitles add value to your video whether you’re a YouTuber, a Vlogger or an IT administrator populating the company intranet with training and compliance videos. On the Order Page, choose “Subtitle & Deliver” from the Service Type drop-down menu, choose your preferred subtitle file format and we’ll get it to you pronto!
